2012 Awards Program

We will offer Champion through 6th place in the following divisions:  (Combined Tests or Horse Trials)

  • Introductory: Cross Rails division
  • Advanced Green: 2’ division
  • Pre-Beginner Novice
  • Beginner Novice
  • Novice
  • Training
  • Preliminary
  • Intermediate

Dressage Awards Added for 2012

Dressage Awards will also be added:

  1. Four scores from each level are required.
  2. One score must be from the highest test at that level.
  3. Tests must have been judged by at least two different "L" level judges or higher.
  4. Intro, Training, First, and Second Level

HOW TO EARN CVACTA AWARD POINTS

You must be a current member of the CVACTA at the time the scores are earned for your points to count. You must also fulfill a 4 hour service requirement and submitt a 2011volunteer Hours Form to be eligible for year end awards. You must submit a Score Report Form either signed by the event organizer or provide a printout of the final event placing from the internet along with the web address of the event results for verification purposes. We will use your top 4 placings, at a given level, to determine final scores.

Scores must be reported on the score report form and received by the scores coordinator by December 15, 2011. We would prefer that you turn in your results within 45 days of the event if possible to allow our events coordinator to maintain current standings. Please have the event secretary sign your report form or include a printout of the published results with your form.

Scores from all USEA recognized events will be accepted and scored as 10 points for 1st place through 3 points for 8th place.

The following unrecognized HT events will be accepted with scores ranging from 8 points for 1st place through 3 points for 6th.

  • Horse Trials by Virginia Horse Trials (including the Starter Horse Trials at the VA Horse Center, Horse Trials at Cedar Creek Farm and Wavertree Hall)
  • Calais Horse Trials
  • Deep Run Hunt Club Pony Club Horse Trials
  • CVACTA Run Horse Trials

The following unrecognized CT events will be accepted and scored with 6 points for 1st place through 1 point for 6th place.

  • Virginia Horse Trials Combined Tests
  • Campbell Springs Farm Combined Tests
  • VADA Charlottesville Combined Test
  • CVACTA Combined Tests
  • Fox Tale Farm Combined Tests (as they correspond to the club divisions)

The Board reserves the right to add events to this list as the year progresses. Any combined test hosted by the Association or by an Association member will count towards year end points.

HOW TO FULFILL VOLUNTEER HOURS REQUIREMENT

  • Any member who serves on the board of the Association for a year is awarded 4 service hours.
  • Any member who is a committee chairperson is awarded 4 service hours.
  • Donating the use of your facility for an Association mounted activity will credit 4 hours.
  • Coordinate and manage a clinic for the Association will credit 4 hours.
  • Serving as a speaker at a club meeting will credit 4 hours.

Volunteer hours for any of the following events will count towards your volunteer hours, just be sure to complete 4 hours at any one event or combination of events and turn in your completed and signed volunteer form.

  • Deep Run Hunt Club Pony Club Horse Trials
  • CVACTA Combined Tests, Horse Trials, Clinics or events.
